Aeroplane/helicopter flight crew engaged in single commercial air transport operations cannot exercise the profession beyond the age of 60 according to Regulation 1178/2011, FCL.065. This requirement raises a social issue due to the increasing retirement age in EU (on average 65 years in most of the EU countries) and the longer life expectancy.
